Data centre trade exhibition 'draws 1,200 delegates'
An exhibition focussing on data centres and related technologies has held its largest event, attracting 1,200 delegates.
DatacenterDynamics was interspersed with seminars and lectures, live demonstrations and workshops.
Among the areas which were on show were data centre design, containerisation and green computing issues such as improving efficiency and power usage.
Managing director of the firm which organised the event Dan Scarbrough claims it was "fantastic" to attract so many members of the IT community.
"Our team works hard to ensure we attract the right kind of exhibitor and the right calibre of delegate," he states.
Among the speakers were representatives from companies such as HP and Microsoft, along with data centre specialists.
It was held at the Royal Lancaster Hotel on November 11th and 12th.
According to a recent report by CB Richard Ellis, the second quarter of this year was positive for the data centre property sector and the firm asserts the credit crunch has not strongly affected it.
