Interoute Customer Operations attains ISO 27001 accreditation - 11 Aug 08
Interoute’s security management recognised as best practice
11 August, 2008 London - Interoute, owner of Europe’s most advanced next-generation network, today announced that its Customer Operations Centre in Prague was awarded ISO/IEC 27001 certification. ISO 27001 is the world recognised security management system, and Interoute attained accreditation through the expansion of its existing security management system, independently audited by Lloyds Register Qualified Assurance Group (LRQA). Interoute has attained certification for its Data Centre operations in Amsterdam and Geneva with plans to complete Stockholm by the end of 2008.
Security is a critical component for data solutions, and Interoute continues to demonstrate operational excellence in addressing the security concerns of customers. The ISO 27001 accreditation of the Prague Customer Operations Centre is reflective of Interoute's ability to understand and deliver secure solutions for the world's leading corporations. The corporate environment requires solutions that sustain regulatory compliance and protect corporate data against increasing security threats, whether fraud, hackers, or viral attacks. Interoute’s application of the ISO 27001 security controls to its customer operations processes ensures security best practices are embedded into Interoute’s core operational processes and systems.

Interoute is accredited to various security standards across its extensive European foot-print. But the decision to move to ISO27001 in 2006 was based on its global recognition as a proven standard for securing information assets.
